    Cautions and Common Sense

Motorcycles can be heavy, and so are lifts; please exercise caution. NEVER use your lift if you notice any signs of a failing lift seal. These signs may include: an air leak when attempting to raise the lift, the lift rising slowly, or the lift lowering too quickly. It's crucial to address these issues, as neglecting them could result in a lift being unable to raise high enough to release the safety locks, which could leave you with a 'captive motorcycle'. Replacing the lift seal kit is an essential maintenance step to ensure your motorcycle lift is in good condition operating condition.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us via the contact area above if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Our kits fit many brands of pneumatic lifts.  Generally, these lifts are specified as 1,000lb lifts.

However, it will not fit all air powered 1,000lb lifts. Unfortunately, there are several brands of lifts for which seal kits are not available from the importer or sellers.  This is particularly true for older machines.  We are working to produce kits for those lifts also.  Certainly, our range of kits will increase over time.

If you purchased a used or pre-owned Direct Lift you may want to disassemble the lift then contact me in advance of ordering a kit so that I can confirm compatibility.

We will help you identify and source a seal kit for your lift, even if we don't sell a kit for your lift.

    Yes, see the list below:

    • Don't try to disassemble the lift while it  is raised, even if on the safety locks.  Don't ask me why we don't recommend that approach!
    • I recommend the lift be placed on its side for disassembly.
    • Be sure to clean the interior of the cylinder and lightly sand to remove surface rust.
    • Coat the entire interior of the cylinder with a 50-50 mixture of air tool oil and STP engine treatment.
    • May sure the rollers are in their grooves on the bottom side of the lift when it is reassembled.
